The Multi-Cultural Perspective© Factor
Diversity is a strength and deserves a seat at the table.
The Multi-Cultural Perspective© (MCP) Factor was born from a meditation session Yen had on setting intentions for a healing environment. The MCP Factor began as a final project for her organizational cultural intelligence course and evolved into the centralized work for her master’s thesis at Columbia University’s Spirituality, Mind, Body clinical psychology program.
MCP is designed to help individuals and teams feel heard, seen, and understood – to strengthen a sense of belonging. As a result, these teams are better equipped to overcome implicit bias and achieve optimal performance.
Integrating the Multi-Cultural Perspective© Factor into your organization’s hiring, promotions, and culture-building infrastructure allows for everyone’s diversity dimensions to be seen as a strength and value-add to the organization. The MCP© Factor should be one of the top qualifications to screen a viable candidate.
Diversity will now be front and center. More importantly, diversity will be transparent throughout your organization.
The goals for the MCP© framework are to ensure the individual:
- ALIGNS with the organization’s vision and mission
- OPTIMIZES the organization’s performance
- HIGHLIGHTS their strengths
- ADDS to the cultural intellect (CQ) of the organization
